FEES AND iNFORMATiON

PRIVATE / MEDICARE FEE SCHEDULE

All appointments are a standard 50-minute session unless otherwise specified.

  • Clients who have a valid Mental Health Care Plan and Referral are eligible for a Medicare Rebate to subsidise the fee.

  • The current rebate for a Clinical Psychologist appointment is $141.85 per session, generally for up to 10 sessions. Some plans offer more.

  • Individual Therapy $260 ($118.15 after Medicare Rebate)

  • Perinatal Infant Mental Health $260 ($118.15 after Medicare Rebate)

  • Leadership Support $220

  • Couples Therapy $220

  • Letters, phone calls over 15 mins in duration, and other communications may attract an additional fee.

  • Fees are current at the time of publishing and are subject to change.

You can still book an appointment, even if you don’t have a Mental Health Care plan or referral from your GP

  • Clients are accepted on either a Private or Mental Health Care Plan basis.

  • If you have private health insurance, your policy may cover a portion of the fee. Please contact your provider for details. You cannot claim both Medicare and a Private health rebate at the same time.

  • We do not have capacity to support clients directly through the NDIS or EAP, and insurance arrangements are subject to limitations. Please contact us about the case.

Cancellation Policy

  • Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

  • We require at least 2 business days’ notice if you need to cancel a session, or you will be charged the full cost of the session.

  • Medicare does not offer rebates for missed sessions.

Covid and Sickness Policy

Safety Bay Psychology is guided by the Government’s rules and recommendations regarding COVID policy, which may change from time to time. Covid restrictions and rules will be discussed with you as relevant.

If you feel unwell, please book a Telehealth session, or cancel the appointment as per the Fee Policy and Agreement (2 business days’ notice required).

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us.

As part of providing a psychological service to you, Safety Bay Psychology needs to collect and record personal information from you that is relevant to your situation. We abide by the Privacy Act, and have measures in place to protect your information. Clients may request a full copy of the Privacy Policy.

Waitlist Policy

Where there is a waitlist, previous and existing clients are prioritised for appointments.

You will be accepted onto the waitlist on the date and time we receive the details we have requested from you. Other conditions and considerations may apply as relevant.

INSURANCE & GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT FEES

Fees match those specified in the Australian Psychological Association’s Recommended Fee Schedule.
